If you’ve heard much about Four Holidays, there was word there may have been tension between stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. According to Witherspoon herself though, there was nothing of the sort.
Talking to ArtistDirect, she had this to say: “Vince and I got along great. We’re very good friends, and we were very much partners on this movie. We decided to produce it together. We worked on the script together. We worked on it for four months for five or six hours a day before we even got on set. We broke down each scene. By the time we started shooting, we really knew what we were doing.”
I have to say the film is hilarious and a few scenes really have you laughing out loud at the ‘real’ comedy where the stars have the ability to improvise. Director Seth Gordon said “These guys are such awesome talents that they know when to engage that. We could just feel it as a group.”
Four Holidays is now showing in cinemas.

I’m a huge fan of Jim Carrey, he’s a very funny guy and the hilarious faces and maniac characters he has the ability to get himself into, make him one of my favourites when it comes to comedy. Think Dumb & Dumber, Ace Ventura + Me, Myself & Irene.
In his latest film, Yes Man, released in cinemas January 1st, 2009, Carrey plays Carl Allen who signs himself up for a self-help program where the key objective is becoming a “yes” person, saying yes to literally everything. What follows is a whirlwind of unexpected changes in his life that have the look of a bloody funny movie.
Check out the Red Bull scene below where Carrey has what seems like a million Red Bull’s and goes nuts - it’s great!

Bedtime Stories sees Adam Sandler as Skeeter Bronson, a hotel handyman telling magical stories to both his niece and nephew before they go to sleep. Unfortunately whatever they dream up, comes to life and Sandler is forced to survive. Adding a dash of his own thoughts to these doesn’t seem to help as the unexpected possibilities the kids create throw his life into chaos.
In his first Disney movie, Sandler stars alongside Keri Russell, Courteney Cox, our very own Guy Pearce and Russell Brand. Released in cinemas December 26, Bedtime Stories looks full of fun and adventure with Sandler playing his usual comedic self.
It does raise the thought - what if your dreams actually did come true and whatever they were, you had to face them to survive. What would be your ultimate dream come true?

We’ve been given a sneak peak at Star Trek this morning and it looks sensational. Director J.J. Abrams has done a great job and the film which is released on May 7, 2009 looks set to introduce a whole new legion of fans as well as tease the curiousity of the die-hard Trekkies.
The crew includes Chris Pine as Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Anton Yelchin as Chekov, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Karl Urban as Dr. McCoy, John Cho as Sulu and Zoe Saldana as Uhura. Don’t forget our very own Eric Bana plays Nero and former Home & Away star Chris Hemsworth also features.
From what we saw this morning, Star Trek will be full of action and adventure but also sexy and funny. I don’t think many will be disappointed with this film - what do you think?

I hear the latest film from Paul Rudd, Role Models has now moved forward to January 15th, 2009. I’ve seen the film and it’s hilarious. It’s got some great one liners. It also stars Sean William Scott aka Stifler from the American Pie films. It’s a buddy film with heaps of laughs and a big heart. Take a look at the trailer below.

Hello Twilight Fans.
It is reaching fever pitch for all the Twilighters that are drooling at the prospect of seeing their much loved book brought to the silver screen on December 11. Tickets sales are absolutely OUT OF CONTROL!
Seriously get your fellow Twilighters together rent a Volvo and get your behinds down to your local GU and get tickets! Having already had the good fortune of seeing the film, it’s easy to say that you’ll want to go and see it again and again. T
hank sweet Jacob Black they are going to start shooting New Moon next March with a view to releasing it at theatres at the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010. This film looks to take US$180 million, which is astounding, and will hopefully give New Moon a bigger budget! Which means better effects, my only real gripe about the film…sort of.
It looks like there’s going to be a storm…I’m off to play me some baseball! Lots of Love Bites to you all.

What are the best films to watch to get into the festive spirit? I always find at this time of year it’s fun to watch a few Christmas movies to really get into the swing of things. This year my girlfriend and I have decided to watch 12 to go along with the 12 days of Christmas theme but had a hard time putting together the list. There are obviously plenty to choose from but it was a matter of quality over quantity.
We went with Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (I’m a sucker for Chevy Chase at his funniest), The Santa Clause, Die Hard, Home Alone 1 & 2, Love Actually, The Grinch, The Holiday, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Scrooged and Miracle on 34th Street. Would you have added something different to your list?
I didn’t count it as part of my 12 but saw Four Holidays last night. Starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, Four Holidays is the story of a couple caught red-handed on TV about to head on vacation to avoid the routine family Christmas. With no other option than to visit their divorced parents, what follows is a hilarious journey with weird and wonderful family moments. As usual Vaughn keeps you laughing with his classic one liners. Four Holidays is a good laugh!

Having not seen a huge amount of Danny Boyle’s work, I wasn’t sure I was going to get into Slumdog Millionaire. I must admit though that the raw intensity he is able to create on screen really drew me in.
In the days of being served up the same thing a hundred different ways, this really is something unique. It has a bit of everything from comedy to romance and drama - it all works in delivering the story of Jamal who becomes a contestant on the Hindi version of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire.
It’s so much more than this logline and you really need to see it to understand the back story fully. The word of mouth on this should be fantastic. A Best Picture Academy Award - I’m not sure, but it is definitely one to keep an eye on in the race to the Oscars.
