If you’ve heard much about Four Holidays, there was word there may have been tension between stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. According to Witherspoon herself though, there was nothing of the sort.
Talking to ArtistDirect, she had this to say: “Vince and I got along great. We’re very good friends, and we were very much partners on this movie. We decided to produce it together. We worked on the script together. We worked on it for four months for five or six hours a day before we even got on set. We broke down each scene. By the time we started shooting, we really knew what we were doing.”
I have to say the film is hilarious and a few scenes really have you laughing out loud at the ‘real’ comedy where the stars have the ability to improvise. Director Seth Gordon said “These guys are such awesome talents that they know when to engage that. We could just feel it as a group.”
Four Holidays is now showing in cinemas.
I’m a huge fan of Jim Carrey, he’s a very funny guy and the hilarious faces and maniac characters he has the ability to get himself into, make him one of my favourites when it comes to comedy. Think Dumb & Dumber, Ace Ventura + Me, Myself & Irene.
In his latest film, Yes Man, released in cinemas January 1st, 2009, Carrey plays Carl Allen who signs himself up for a self-help program where the key objective is becoming a “yes” person, saying yes to literally everything. What follows is a whirlwind of unexpected changes in his life that have the look of a bloody funny movie.
Check out the Red Bull scene below where Carrey has what seems like a million Red Bull’s and goes nuts - it’s great!

The death of a man marks the beginning of a friendship in this drama. When Mark dies, his best friend, Jeff (Adam Neal Smith), writes to break the news to Mark’s Italian friend, Andrea (co-screenwriter Alessandro Calza). Soon their connection causes the men to become friends, first over email and then in person. Though they come from vastly different backgrounds, their common bond brings them closer and closer. Director/co-writer Yen Tan (HAPPY BIRTHDAY) loosely based the film on his friendship with Calza.
